A Karachi shelter story
Meet Cammie.
In June 2024, Cammie's front leg was cut off in Sindh, allegedly as punishment for wandering into a field looking for food. She was brought to our Karachi shelter the next day.
Our team cared for her for a year, then arranged a prosthetic leg from a US-based company. Our vet called it the first time a large animal in Pakistan had received a prosthetic leg. Watching her take her first steps was, in our shelter manager's words, a dream come true. Cammie now lives with us for good, with her friend Callie.

Pakistan's first TNVR centre

Opened in September 2021 in Gulberg Greens, this was Pakistan's first TNVR and rescue facility for stray animals.

Every animal, every day
Rescue
Our ambulances answer reports of injured, abused, orphaned and abandoned animals and bring them in for treatment.
TNVR
Trap, neuter, vaccinate, release: the humane, proven way to bring street populations down and stop rabies.
Shelter care
Dogs, cats, donkeys and camels too hurt, disabled or young for the street get a safe home and medical care for life.
Education
Awareness programmes for children and communities, and support for fellow shelters and rescuers.
